A native to Portland, Oregon, Sallie Israelit, M.D., practiced nephrology in the area for more than 15 years. She is now Medical Director, Complex Medical Conditions at Providence Health Plan. Dr. Israelit graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston and then attended medical school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She returned to Boston to complete her internship and residency training at Harvard University - training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - and her nephrology fellowship at Boston University.

Prior to being a founding partner of Oregon Kidney & Hypertension Clinic, Dr. Israelit returned home to Portland and joined her father at the family nephrology practice. Dr. Israelit is board certified in both nephrology and internal medicine. She is an accomplished seamstress in her free time.
