Poll the RPA committee chairs on possible informatics needs in specific areas within each committee’s purview.
Develop an overall informatics plan and budget for implementation and maintenance of up to date electronic information.
Expand RPA website and electronic communications program for practicing nephrologists.
Identify staff resources required to maximize utility of electronic information transfer.
Oversee the RPA web-page development and ongoing maintenance
Identify options and associated costs for electronic data exchange which offer secure areas for various levels of involvement in the association (e.g., executive committee forum, regional leader forum, practice manager forum, etc.).
Develop strategies to increase usage of electronic information exchange among Board and committee members.
