"Coming from Obstetrics and Gynecology to a Nephrology practice was a frightening transition at best. I primarily utilized the listserve when I initially joined the RPA as a way to network with other Administrators from across the country. "Nephrology Newbie" was my post and I received more responses of support than I can count on both hands. My fellow Administrators shared tools and resources with me to ensure my success in this new position. The RPA is an invaluable tool that has become more of an Assistant Administrator to me than an Association. My practice has received help in revamping our dialysis flow sheet to maximize reimbursement. I have attended the Billing and Coding Seminar at the Annual Conference in Baltimore where I felt like a member of a family. I have been with my practice for almost a year now and the RPA has been the catalyst to my growth and development in the specialty of Nephrology. I am eternally grateful."

"My association with the RPA has been an extremely rewarding experience which retaught me that the more one puts in, the more one gets out of a robust organization. RPA's staff and leadership are unusually motivated by the instinct to make "all boats rise", by which I mean to help create the energy and knowledge to help all the practices extend themselves to a more robust and satisfying relationship with their patients and their environment."

"I enjoy being a member of RPA because it is a great opportunity to promote collaboration between advance practice nurses and physicians. We are all working toward the common goal of promotion of care for people with chronic kidney disease through health policy, leadership, and evidence based practice. Being a member of both RPA and ANNA allows for this sharing of expertise toward advancement of nephrology." Sue Cary, RN, MN, NP, CNN Ochsner Nephrology Baton Rouge, Louisiana

"The RPA has been an amazing resource for connecting with fellow physicians and other experts in business aspects of nephrology. Without a doubt, my practice is stronger and more successful because of my involvement in the RPA."

"I have been thrilled with my RPA membership. It has allowed me to be on top of all political, medical and practical information I need to keep current in nephrology. I have met mentors in the nephrology community who have helped me with patients, programs or practice problems. The group is very inclusive and has always made me feel like a valued member of a bigger goal: caring for a very fragile population of patients. I have learned much from the CME programs offered by RPA. I have also found the informal interactions at these CMEs to be vital. Knowing who to call for an 'expert opinion' is fantastic! To be able to say to a patient "I was just speaking to the doctor in charge of that study..." makes all the difference in the world. I would not have those interactions if not for my RPA membership."
