The Renal Physicians Association will be hosting a workshop for dialysis facility medical directors, Thursday, March 16, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee, immediately preceding the RPA Annual Meeting. This program will be a CME program jointly sponsored by the University of Virginia Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be eligible for 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)TM and 7.5 Maintenance of Certification points.

CME Credits for Medical Director Workshop:“This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of The University of Virginia School of Medicine and Renal Physicians Association. The University of Virginia School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians The University of Virginia School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The University of Virginia School of Medicine awards 7.5 hours of participation (equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. ) to each non-physician participant who successfully completes this educational activity. The University of Virginia School of Medicine maintains a record of participation for six (6) years. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 7.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit. By participating in this MOC activity, I understand that my completion data will be shared with The University of Virginia School of Medicine, Office of Continuing Medical Education, for the purposes of transmitting completion data to ACCME on behalf of the participant.
The Renal Physicians Association has a new program, “The Fundamentals of Nephrology Practice.” This workshop is designed for physicians early in their career and renal fellows. This program replaces the previous Renal Fellows Workshop. The Fundamentals of Nephrology Practice will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 immediately preceding the RPA Annual Meeting, March 17 - 19, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Registration opens Thursday morning at 7:00 am.Renal fellows can attend the program for FREE. A limited number of travel grants are available for renal fellows. The grants will cover one night stay at the host hotel and transportation up to $800. Once you register details on the travel grants are included in your registration confirmation email.
Early career physicians can attend for a nominal fee of $375.
